Services

This page describes Susanne Ebert-Khosla’s services of psychotherapy sessions for individual adults and couples and her fee structure.

Services

I provide in-person psychotherapy in Palo Alto to individual adults and couples. Due to COVID-19, I also provide teletherapy online through a HIPAA-compliant platform (Simple Practice). I do offer a free 15-minute phone consultation.

My rates are:

$180 for an individual 50-minute session.

$220 for a 50-minute couple session.

Payment can be made by credit card at time of service. A 48-hr. cancellation notice is required in order to avoid payment of a missed session. Sliding scale is available. Currently, I only accept Aetna insurance but can provide you with a superbill for out-of-network providers on request.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the No Surprises Act, a new Federal law, effective January 1, 2022, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance (including private paying clients) an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
